Kherson State Plant «Pallada» more than 70 years is the world ship construction leader in production of floating reinforced and composite docks of big lifting capacity, many of which are unique, no analogues in the dock construction field.
Constantly improving technology and production management, the plant passed the way from the construction of fully reinforced docks with lifting capacity 4000 tons to the creation of composite docks of different assignment with lifting capacity of 28000 tons.
The characteristic feature of the structure of such docks is that their pontoon part, located in the aggressive sea water, is made of sulphate-resistant concrete, whereas their sidewalls are steel.
Many years of experience in construction and maintenance of these docks, built at Kherson State Plant «Pallada» prove the optimal quality of such dock design which provides cutting twice the expenses for the metal required for the dock construction and cutting maintenance expenses a few times because the reinforced part of the dock doesn’t require repairs for the whole period of maintenance.
New technology of caisson free longitudinal and lateral joining of floating pontoons mastered at the plant supports the construction of floating docks and other floating facilities of different dimensions and safety margin provides the towing operations to any port of the world. The customers are attracted by strict execution of product handing over terms, its high quality confirmed by plant International Certificate of Quality ISO: 9001-2000 (Germanischer Lloyd).
Besides floating docks construction the plant specializes in constructing other floating and fixed facilities which are in high demand at home and world production market.
